Skeeter
Announces His Run For President of the Northeast Ursamen!
(Ashford, CT) In an unprecedented
move, Skeeter announced today his plans to run for President of the
Northeast Ursamen. With a complete overhaul of his website, portal.davidbielski.com,
and the release of an exclusive videoclip, Skeeter has put to rest
all rumnor and speculation. He has officially joined he race for the
presidency.
"This is total coup!"
said Skeeter today. "It's time to get people excited about the
Ursamen and to get them out for the vote. If throwing in my bid makes
the difference, so be it!"
When asked to described his
platform, Skeeter explains that he will be "throwing a Cocktail
Party". When asked to describe this in greater detail, he clarified
that he will be running under a new party, neither Democratic or Republican,
but it will be based on fun and enjoyment for all, hence, "A
Cocktail Party".
Skeeter is confident that
he will win by a landslide in the upcoming election on October 11,
however he has growing concerns that the current President Ed may
not be so willing to give up his seat. Even now, the two camps are
revving up their engines and preparing for a battle of epic proportions.
And when epics are involved, you know that President Ed will not take
this one lightly.
The Northeast Ursamen is
the largest and oldest Bear Club in the Northeastern United States.
With over 100 members and events ranging from intimate local gatherings
to the decadent SpookyBear Weekend, the Northeast Ursamen are dominant
force in the regional Bear Community. Members of the Northeast Ursamen
elect officers every year at their October Annual Meeting. The term
for President is two years and commences on January 1 of a given year.
